Hygge House

Hygge, pronounced hoo-gah, means cosiness in Danish. Hygge is also a mindset – it’s about relaxing and being kind to yourself – it’s about catering to what makes you happy. To our clients, it was just that – they hired us to capture all their goals into their dream cottage, including capturing natural sunlight throughout the entire day. Which, in an urban setting is no easy task.

Warm and cozy textures like sheepskin rugs, wool carpeting, candles and glowing fires blanket the spaces. Baking, and photography and sewing are just a few of the passions the clients wanted to incorporate into the natural rhythm of the home. The true Hygge of this home stems from our clients, who invested joyful time and energy making this urban cottage a bright reflection of themselves.
